威爾很快就發現了Alex的存在，他叫著：「Alex,You are here, come here.

對啊，他自己怎麼能放棄，他答應過阿母的，要在國外好好努力的，這不僅是為了自己也是為了阿母，所以他終於向前一步。

老師很滿意福明勇往直前的做法，但他緊接著又催促道：「Hurry up.」福明只是在旁邊看著，卻什麼話也不說，不肯與那些孩子交談，看的出來，他的內心是恐懼的，以致於到現在都還沒有踏出一步，搞的他自己也是對這個孩子很頭疼。

福明只能硬著頭皮說著：「Excuse me,Can… you… play… with… me?」礙於老師的目光，雖然他說的結結巴巴的，但可以看的出來，他已經盡力了，現在就只能等著這個和他一樣有著黑色頭髮的男孩，雖然也是歐美人的小孩，但他的皮膚明顯更黝黑。

只見這個小男孩第一句話竟是開口說著：「Wow, are they oriental?

Hey, you guys come and see, it’s an Oriental.

He said he wanted to play with us. 」 他的名字叫威爾，就住在我們家附近而已，還好他們沒有排斥我，反而還和我玩了一整天，直到太陽下山。

珊看樣子是已經從威爾森那裡聽來，但她還是想問道：「How about Fuming?

雖然說是這麼說，但我還是不免感到憂心忡忡的，畢竟現在才只是剛開始而已，再說我也只是僅僅會一點基本的對話而已，如果說以後去到學校一定還會遇到其他的問題，像是課業肯定會跟不上，還有東西方文化的差異，也肯定會是如此。

阿曼達雖然佩服這個孩子的勇氣，但同時也不免為他的未來而憂心著：「那你可就要想清楚，在這裡雖然說不用考試，但也必須要學會與師長溝通，還有現在對你來說，學會英文才是最重要的。

在這兒不學會外語是很難生活的，尤其你又是東方人。」

蘇的桌子前放的是這個孩子的領養文件，還有相關的戶籍謄本，她感嘆著道：「 The Orientals are really pitiful.

那個中年女子似乎想要帶我們去看看，她好心的說著：「This way, these files will be returned to you.

珊當然是很開心的同意，但她還是得徵求孩子的同意道：「Okay, that’s the best, I hope you can give us a brief introduction, then it will trouble you.

阿曼達就像是我最佳的伙伴，在這個陌生的地方什麼也不懂，就只能靠著她來說明，她很有耐心的對著我說道：「你想去嗎？參觀教室，如果說想要，就說ok就好。」她似乎是知道我的答案，這點令我頗為訝異，但卻也令我很高興。

福明只是簡單的說著：「ok」但光是這句話已經夠了，珊似乎也很滿意，她很喜歡這個孩子，總覺得以後應該會很合得來，至少她可是對自己的教導方式很有信心的，只見她又伸出那修長的雙手來，像是要福明牽著，不過福明也真的回握了這個女人的手。

中年女子甚至還很有禮貌的問著：「Okay, let’s go now.

ladies and gentlemen. 」她在等著這對夫婦的回答，畢竟是家長，當然要給予一定的尊重，尊重家長的意見，這是當然的事情。

珊是真的很希望孩子可以快樂，沒有煩惱，她爽快的說著：「Of course, the more detailed the details, the better.

一路上車子經過的地方都是沒什麼人的，這裡由於比較接近郊外，杰開著車子載我們，聽說這裡的人都是以車子來代步，美國的土地大我們那個國家就至少是269.3倍，在這裡不開車是不可能的，除非想要走好幾個鐘頭的時間，很少能看到機車之類的。

當我們到達那裡時，已經是半個鐘頭後，那個學校的全名為「 Asana Elementary School」，就是我以後要在這裡讀書的學校，這個學校的面積也很大，可能比我們那裡的學校都還大，不僅有操場，還有一座專門的體育館，還是八層樓式的，一樓為游泳池，二樓為籃球場，三樓為網球場，六七八樓則是舞臺，還有看臺之類的。

我們到了學校以後，就馬上到了註冊單位，接待我們的是一位中年女子，她留著一頭棕色的短髮，只見她說著：「 Do you have any information?

阿曼達藉著在這兒生活好幾年的經驗，一一闡述著：「當然是在談你的教育問題，他們是擔心你不能適應這裡，因為東西方的教育有很大的差別，你們那裡是每天都要讀書考試吧，而我們這裡不是以考試為主，而是以做報告，上臺報告為主，而且這裡的學生可以對老師提出問題。」

當到達時，已經是將近四個半小時後，映入眼裡的是一棟房子，它是屬於西班牙式的那種建築。

這種建築擁有地中海建築的各種元素，常常是紅色的瓦屋頂，並有封閉的內庭院。主要特徵有：外牆很厚，可以抵擋酷熱，常用外牆材料為灰泥，屋頂裝飾很少，窗戶較小，常為木製的百葉窗，避免陽光直射，大門入口處有拱門裝飾，屋頂坡度小，塔樓為方形。大多數西班牙式的建築只有一層樓。

這裡不僅有寬廣的庭院，周圍也都種滿了花草，最大的特徵就是，房子的旁邊種了一棵大型的椰子樹，離市區好像也有一段距離，現在最大的問題，卻是不知道該怎麼到學校，難不成我還得像以前那樣走路到學校，那我想我可能又要遲到了，就在我正傷腦筋時，我們已經要下車了。

珊就像是在說著不可能的任務，但她還是堅持著：「 Fuming, this will be your home in the future.

Remember, you have to learn how to live here.

We will take you to school later, and even teach you to ride a car. 」

阿曼達似乎收到了福明的意思，她簡單明瞭的說著：「夫人他們等等帶你去學校，順便教你怎麼搭車去學校，好讓你盡快適應這裡的生活。

你放心，這裡可是很方便的，離市區雖然遠，但是環境算是很好的了。」

一棟整齊的屋子就在面前，當我們踏入時，屋內的擺設都是很好的，不僅有檯燈，還有L型的廚房，這裡大到連我都不能想像，我當場愣住，而珊則說著：「Come here, Fuming, we have arranged a room for you, this is the one, can you see this one?

If not, we can change it again. 」

杰接著又繼續說道：「 Do you like it?

福明馬上就表達著：「 Of course, I like it very much, thank you.」當然這句話其實是阿曼達教他要怎麼樣表達自己的感謝之意，雖然只是一句很基本的話，不過已經算是很好，至少他終於學會第一句外國語言，這一點對他自己來說，當然是有深刻的意義的，所以他當然很樂意的模樣。

珊似乎很意外，但她同時也能很高興的說著：「 Be good, we will give you the best, whether it is studying or you want to study further.

As long as you can treat us as a family. 」

杰看事情也已經處理的差不多，他連忙又繼續說著：「 ok.

機場不停重複著：「Welcome to Asan Airport. 」像是在慶祝我的到來，但是我並不以為意，僅僅只是聽聽就好，反正這裡也不會是我出生長大的地方，我根本不把自己當成這裡的人，直到好幾十年過去以後，我依然是如此，總覺得自己格格不入的。

這個女人又開始了，她又說了一堆我聽不懂的明白，甚至還來不及理解，她就說著：「Fuming,We will find an English tutor for you at that time, you always have to learn the language here, okay?」搞的我也是一頭霧水的，不知道該如何是好才是。

就在珊說完時，她看了旁邊的女人一眼，這個人從在機場時，就一路跟著來到這裡，只見她走到我面前解釋著：「夫人她是說，會替你安排好一個英文老師，這樣你以後即使和別人交流，也就不會有問題。

另外呢，我叫阿曼達，從今天開始會待在這裡，幫助你快速融入這裡的生活。」

福明只是看了這個阿曼達一眼，她身材雖然屬於普通，身高也不怎麼高，落在162公分而已，但是卻有一副出色的東方人面孔，淡淡的妝容上，總是帶著一抹淺淺的微笑，但我實在是無瑕關心這些事情，就只是回答著：「好的，謝謝你，姊姊，我知道了。」

珊離開了一段時間，原來就是為了去拿行李，但這樣反而令福明不安，他還以為自己又要被拋棄，但隨後珊又說著：「Alright, the luggage is also available, it’s time we left.

他們牽起手來很自然，像是一對真正的母子，雖然說福明還是有點不自在，不過相信隨著時間，很快就能適應，當他們來到大門口那裡時，一台黃色的車子映入眼簾，車牌為N.Y.C TAXI 9016，杰已經站在計程車前，正向我們招手著：「Shan, right here.

Sir, we go to Fuchen Street,thank you.」

珊一一介紹沿路經過的景點，她還很起勁的說著：「Fuming, do you like it?

飛機上到處是穿著制服走來走去的小姐，她們幾乎都會面帶笑容，也都很年輕漂亮，當中午快到的時候，她們一致都會到客人的面前問著：「Sir, Would you like to have chicken noodles or pork rice? 」不過我聽不太懂，也是無法回答。

我旁邊坐著的女人正好是那對要領養我的夫婦，看樣子這座位是早就已經安排好的，他們可能是擔心我不能適應這種生活，又無法應對，只見這個女人隨口就決定道：「Madam,please give this child a children’s meal.

你想要再河什麼嗎？還是這養就好。」

她甚至還考慮到我需不需要喝飲料的問題，不過我想著還是不要太麻煩別人，乾脆就搖頭拒絕道：「嗯，不用。」雖然她的國語還是很不標準就是，不過我可以猜的出來她真的想要表達的意思，我想著也許她真的想要和我好好相處，我也不再那麼抗拒了。

珊的國語還是很不好，雖然她很努力的想要表達，但無奈就是發音的問題實在是太難，當她開口時，就變成了另外一種意思，不過還好這個孩子很體貼的沒有戳破，只見她像是一個孩子在表達著：「 那你有什麼需搖的就和我說就好。」

時間很快就過去，已經不知道經過了多久，但我只知道我睡的很好，緊接著機上就廣播：「各位貴賓：我們現在即將降落。

請確實將您的椅背豎直、餐桌收回，並確認安全帶繫妥。

請將您的隨身手提行李置於上方行李櫃或前方座椅底下，謝謝您的配合。

Ladies and gentlemen: As we start our descent, please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position.

就在我踏上飛機時，我做夢也沒想到原來阿母早就來了，還是在我沒發現的時候，她淚眼汪汪的走到阿玉阿姨面前，阿玉阿姨不解的道：「這下好了，叫你出來看看，卻怎麼樣也不肯出來，他可是你的孩子，你明明就捨不得，為何就非得要搞成今天這樣，這個孩子以後肯定和你不親，他搞不好還會忘了你這個親生媽媽的存在。」

阿母滿臉都是淚水，她不是不想要告別，她只是太痛苦了，只要想著要與兒子分開，她就無法正視著他，她只能躲的遠遠的，在心裡與兒子告別，她難過的道：「我這m是怕我自己沒辦法，失禮，但我實在是無法跟他告別，一想到我就感覺艱苦。」
